FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is Pulse following me around the city?

No. Pulse does not track your movement, build travel histories, or follow you from place to place.

Pulse only uses location to understand who is currently at a venue. Once you leave, you’re no longer associated with that location.

No timelines. No trails. No tracking.

Can someone stalk me using Pulse?

No.

Other users can only see profiles of people who are in the same venue as they are—and only if those people choose to share their profile.

If you don’t share your profile, you appear as a number, nothing more.

People outside your venue cannot see you at all.

What do people see if I don’t share my profile?

Just a number.

You contribute to venue activity counts, but:

  • No name

  • No photo

  • No profile

  • No way to identify or message you

To everyone outside your venue, you’re invisible.

Who can see my profile if I choose to share it?

Only people who are physically in the same venue as you.

Not nearby venues.

Not people across the city.

Not people scrolling the map.

Same venue, same moment—nothing beyond that.

Does Pulse track where I go after I leave a venue?

No.

Pulse does not record where you go next, where you came from, or how long you traveled.

When you leave a venue, your presence ends there.

Does Pulse store my location history?

No personal location history is stored.

Pulse is built around current presence, not past behavior.

Can venues see who I am?

No.

Venues only see aggregate numbers, not identities or profiles.

Pulse is not a customer tracking system.

Can i turn off location tracking inside the app?

Location access is controlled through your phone’s system settings.

You can change or revoke location permissions at any time through your device.

Does Pulse run in the background

Pulse may use location services to support features like venue discovery and navigation.

It does not monitor or log your movement history.

Location is used for functionality—not surveillance.

Does Pulse sell my data?

No.

Pulse does not sell personal data, location data, or movement data.

Can I use Pulse without sharing who I am?

Yes.

You can use Pulse without ever sharing a profile. In that case, you remain anonymous and appear only as a number contributing to venue activity.

What happens if I delete my account?

Your profile and associated data are removed.

No lingering presence. No history.

How accurate are venue counts?

Counts are estimates based on active participation and are meant to show relative energy, not exact headcounts.

Why does Pulse use location at all?

To:

  • Identify nearby venues

  • Determine who is currently at the same venue

  • Support navigation and discovery features

Pulse does not use location to track individuals over time.

What makes Pulse different from social or dating apps?

Pulse is place-focused, not person-focused.

It shows what’s happening at venues, not where people are going or who they’ve been with.

Bottom Line
  • Pulse does not track your movement

  • Only people in the same venue can see you

  • If you don’t share your profile, you are just a number

  • People outside your venue cannot see you at all
